KBP is offering another giveaway; this time to help support a fellow small business owner and friend. The best part is, Amie (owner) not only takes custom orders, but loves them! So you get exactly what you want. She and I have been working together over the past weeks to create a whole new inventory of baby hats and props for KBP and I couldn't be more excited! We just got to test some out this week on baby D (check out previous blog post) and they were adorable!

Our Casting Call Model; Baby D

To help a friend and fellow small business owner, I put out a casting call for a newborn baby so that Tylee Couture could have some professional photos of their products to display on Etsy (LOVE Etsy!). We were blessed with the EASIEST baby I've had to date. I couldn't believe how smoothly things went. Baby D was 9 days old and didn't even poop on any of my blankets! He was truly a photographer's dream! We got some great stuff. Tylee Couture is pleased with the photos and we hope Mom and Dad are too!

Our family loves to travel. Florida is one of our favorite destination spots because of the temperatures. Well, that, and because we have some awesome family down there. This year, I got to photograph my beautiful cousin, Shelby, for her senior photos. Shelby had always envisioned herself situated on a set of train tracks. So, with the proper precautions, we made it happen. She also wanted to incorporate her love for nature and animals. We did it all! We had harsh lighting conditions which were a hurdle, I worked hard to overcome, but we made it happen. Here are some of my favorites of Shelby:

CASTING CALL: Looking For A Newborn Born in The Next Week!

I've said it before; 2012 is going to be a big year of giving back for KBP. I have a few things in the works, but first up is helping a new small business owner. Tylee Couture is a small business that creates photography props, and all types of custom made pieces for every one (from scarves to hats to necklaces, hair accessories, woodworking isn't even out of their realm of talents!). To help her get a start, I've placed a significant order of newborn hats and other props. I am looking for a newborn to photograph wearing these hats/props to be used for advertising of TC's new business!

To qualify your baby must be born somewhere between February 18th and March 3rd. Your baby MUST be less than 11 days old on the day of your photo session. You must sign all model release and copyright forms and you must be available on the day(s) and time(s) that we are available for shooting. PLEASE, also educate yourself what a newborn session involves because it IS VERY involved! It's a long and sometimes stressful (for Mom and Dad) process.
