I had the pleasure (and I do mean pleasure) of photographing just the sweetest couple this past weekend. They wanted some maternity photos taken before they welcome their first child (a baby girl) next month. I make no secret about the fact that I prefer to photograph in natural light conditions. Lugging my studio equipment (lighting, back drops and stands are among the larger items; reflectors, exposure targets, diffusers are among the smaller items) is hardly what I consider to be stress-free. However, when I arrived, mom-to-be was still getting made-up. I told her to take her time, which made me feel so much more at ease taking MY time setting up (maybe one day I'll be able to set up in less than 20 minutes... maybe).
It worked out perfectly. Neither one of us felt rushed and it really shows in the photos we took. I was there for 3 hours; a record for maternity photos! I loved every minute of it! Thank you, M&G for trusting me to capture such a special time in your lives :)
